Opera today and a retelling of the classic TV show, Monkey, composed by Damon Albarn from the monkey featuring band Gorillaz and Blur, which is about to start playing at the O2 in London. I loved the TV show, so I’ve got high hopes for the opera.

Just got back from the Francis Bacon exhibition at the Tate. He has a couple of monkey paintings, including this fantastic one of a baboon. Even in art, monkeys are awesome.

Ok, I’m not sure if Bigfoot counts as a monkey or not but it’s impossible to ignore the chance to pick up the Bigfoot body which featured in the well publicised hoax of a few months ago.
It’s currently available on eBay for a bargain price of $202,341.25. Could be just the thing to go next to your Piltdown man skeleton in your front room?

Bigfoot Hoax body
Sadly it wasn’t an option on my car, although I’d probably have to have something a bit smaller than the chimp model. Strangely they’re not mentioned as additional security features on car insurance policies either. I’m sure it’s only a matter of time.
