Opera today and a retelling of the classic TV show, Monkey, composed by Damon Albarn from the monkey featuring band Gorillaz and Blur, which is about to start playing at the O2 in London.  I loved the TV show, so I’ve got high hopes for the opera.

Just got back from the Francis Bacon exhibition at the Tate.  He has a couple of monkey paintings, including this fantastic one of a baboon.  Even in art, monkeys are awesome.
