No monkey related blog would be complete without a link to ‘Code Monkey’ performed by the excellent Jonathan Coulton. Here is is at PAX performing it live.
Opera today and a retelling of the classic TV show, Monkey, composed by Damon Albarn from the monkey featuring band Gorillaz and Blur, which is about to start playing at the O2 in London. I loved the TV show, so I’ve got high hopes for the opera.
Oh, and in case you were wondering, the title is my attempt to render the sound of Monkey summoning his cloud in text form (which will mean nothing to you if you’ve never seen it…)
Just got back from the Francis Bacon exhibition at the Tate. He has a couple of monkey paintings, including this fantastic one of a baboon. Even in art, monkeys are awesome.
